BRINOS : A charity dedicated to the prevention and cure of Ear Disease in Nepal
The British Ambassador, Mr Andy Sparkes' visited BECC
On Monday 30 September 2013, the British Ambassador to Nepal, Mr Andy Sparkes, visited the BRINOS Ear Health Community Service (BEHCS) at the Fate-Bal Eye Hospital, Nepalgunj.
He was greeted by Dr Adhikari, the Medical Director of the eye hospital and Mr Puran Tharu, the Senior Community Ear Assistant and his team. Currently, they work out of two rooms in the old eye hospital.
The Ambassador was shown a display of activities undertaken by the Community Ear Assistants with charts of the volume of work done and photographs of the ear surgery camps. He was given one of the prevention of ear disease posters.
Andy Sparkes was then shown the site of the BRINOS Ear Care Centre where he viewed the progress so far. He was delighted with his visit and the team were really pleased to see him.
