2013 May - September - All four boundary walls have been rebuilt to a height of 10 feet, together with guard house, covered cycle shed and generator house and new secure entrance gates.

2013 January/February - Demolition of the old building and clearance of the site.

2014 October
The walls are now clad and ready for windows.
Reminders of the original building are appearing on
the balcony section.
Seeing the people aloft illustrates the scale of this Ear Care Centre project.
2014 November
The exterior is waiting for paint and some glass.
The inside is now well under way with services and
tiling. The construction team have pulled the project
forward to regain two months in the schedule.

2015 March
The interior is progressing apace. However, there is a lot to be done. Fitting out a medical facility involves a a lot of detailed work. The photo shows the exterior looking smart but with some ground-work still needed.

2015 July
The BRINOS Ear Health Community Service (BEHCS) can now move into the ground floor. The BRINOS Ear Camp surgical team will use part of the ground floor until the proper facilities are ready on the first floor.

2015 November
The interior is virtually finished, so it’s really only the Theatre, with its specialist needs, that is left to be completed. The external ground-works will need to be carried out but now the monsoon season has passed, the painting of the exterior is under way.

2016 March
The BECC is now in use by the Surgery team and the Ear Heath Care team. The building has its coat of paint and the “landscaping” is under way. Meanwhile the actual Operating Theatre is in use.

2016 May - July
Finishing the operating theatre:
The British Medical Association (BMA) Charitable Donations Committee awarded BRINOS £8,000 towards the completion of the operating theatre.
This has covered the terrazzo floor and marble work surfaces, the carpentry work to create all the cupboards, the stainless steel scrub-up sink and 3 Air Conditioning units.
St Marks Overseas Aid Trust (SMOAT) for funding a specialist mechanical multi-positional operating table.

2016 19th November
During the 59th Ear Camp in November 2016, The BECC was formally opened. Unveiling the plaque was Dr Neil Weir (Director of BRINOS) in the presence of Mr Bimal Tandon (Chairman of BEHCS).
